A proven servant leader, Tina Benkiser is committed to promoting conservative principles and helping those who share such principles be effectively involved in the political process. Tina is a long-time grassroots activist who currently serves as the Tennessee Republican Party State Executive Committeewoman from Senate District 11. She is also a board member of several non-profit organizations including the Beacon Center of Tennessee, a nonprofit, nonpartisan, and independent organization dedicated to providing expert research and timely free market solutions to public policy issues in Tennessee. Inspiring people who share our principles, Tina knows how to convey a conservative message in a positive and practical way.

 

An experienced and respected leader in law, politics, and volunteerism, Tina is currently a Senior Lecturer and the Coordinator of business law classes at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Licensed to practice law in Tennessee and Texas, she has served as in-house corporate counsel in an international energy company, counsel in an international intellectual property law firm, and in her own private law practice. Tina is committed to upholding the U.S. Constitution and America’s founding principles.

 

Tina earned a Juris Doctor degree from The University of Alabama, where she served as Co-Editor of the Journal of the Legal Profession, was on the National Trial Advocacy Team, and clerked for Alabama Supreme Court Justice Samuel Beatty among other honors. Tina also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Physical Science (honors in Biochemistry) with an Economics minor from Mississippi University for Women, where she served in numerous leadership positions.

 

Lifelong Republicans, Tina and her husband Eric have been married for over 35 years and live in Signal Mountain, Tennessee with dog, Bella. They are members of and attend Brainerd Baptist Church.​​
